The number of plastic tarpaulin wholesale markets is also gradually increasing. However, sometimes we find that the plastic tarpaulin bought in the wholesale market will leak. Why? According to the analysis of relevant specific persons, there are two main reasons for this phenomenon, namely:
1. Generally speaking, the leakage of plastic tarpaulin is usually caused by loose stitches, accidentally hooked or pierced holes. In case of leakage of stitches, glue can be used to remedy it. Usually, at this time, it is only necessary to apply specific glue to the suture.
2. But if the hook is broken, it will be a little troublesome. If the tarpaulin is a new tarpaulin that has just been bought, it is OK to use a hot-air gun and glue for bonding; However, if it is an old tarpaulin, the heat sealing and glue are useless, and only glue and sewing can be used.
When repairing plastic shed cloth, adhesive is usually used. However, when applying this kind of adhesive, there are several points that cannot be ignored:
(1) For solvent based products, after gluing, it is better to cool them until they are not sticky, and then glue them.
(2) Single component solvent type or water type shall be stirred evenly during use. In order to increase the strength, it shall be kept for 24 hours after bonding.
(3) In case of high strength and fast curing, it can be heated according to the situation. It should not be too thick when applying glue. Generally, it is better to use 0.5mm. The thicker the adhesive, the worse the bonding effect. In addition, when bonding objects, try to apply pressure or fix them with clamps.
(4) When the adhesive is used, it must be prepared and used immediately. It must not be left for too long. In case of rapid curing, it should not be more than 2 minutes.
(5) In order to achieve high bonding strength, the adherend shall be polished as much as possible. The design of bonding joint determines the bonding strength.
(6) The adherend shall be cleaned and free of water (except for underwater curing adhesive).
(7) For the AB component adhesive, please mix it according to the requirements of the manual, and fully stir it before use. No seams shall be left, otherwise it will not cure.
